Dubai-(August 2002)-- Along with
the inception of the Infiniti line-up, came Infiniti’s
exceptional customer support service, known as the ‘Total
Ownership Experience’ (TOE)- Nissan’s philosophy
which aims to create a unique relationship between retailers
and customers of all new and previously owned Infiniti
vehicles, through a variety of service offerings.
All of Infiniti’s product and
service offerings reflect its brand values of luxury,
inspiration and grace, as well as its vision of total
commitment to personalized client service and satisfaction,
which are fabulously exhibited in both Infiniti models
available in the Middle East- Q45 and QX4.
The Total Ownership Experience, a
program offered by Infiniti, encompasses extensive service
and warranty for the automobile, a thorough 24-hours
roadside assistance program, and a host of international
services offered through the International Airline Passengers
Association (IAPA).
Nissan’s progressing fiscal
position has given the company the opportunity to reinforce
its brands, by focusing on improvement of its products
and services. “With Infiniti, this means accelerating
the future of automotive luxury through product design
and then aligning our customer services with these products
for a unified, exhilarating total experience,”
said Carlos Ghosn (President of Nissan Motor Company
Ltd.- NML)
Infiniti’s Total Ownership Experience
is realized through the focus on intangibles such as
retailer personnel training, sales certification programs
and advanced communications.
Infiniti’s line up in the Middle
East, which comprises of the Q45 and the QX4, recently
saw the introduction of the all-new Q45 2002 (365-horsepower
V8 engine), in the region last April. Along with this
introduction, the GCC also saw further growth and strengthening
of the ‘Total Ownership Experience’, thereby
bringing Infiniti closer to its customers of this region.
Mr. Tsubaki, Managing Director at
Nissan Middle East FZE, commented by saying: “Parallel
to incorporating all the technological advancements
made over the 12 year period between the first and the
third generation of the Infiniti Q45, we have been working
extensively on perfecting the Total Ownership Experience
program to bring the passion of Infiniti to life for
a whole new generation of buyers”.
Some of the tangible benefits offered
throughout the GCC, as part of the Total Ownership Experience,
are emergency services such as lock-out assistance,
recovery and towing, battery boost, delivery of gas,
and flat tire change. These services are offered 24
hours a day, all year.
Moreover, and as part of the tie-up
with the International Airline Passengers Association
(IAPA), Infiniti owners benefit from a range of services
such as hotel savings, car rental discounts, city/country
information, luggage and key identification/retrieval
and the ‘Regus Touchdown’ program- services
which can turn out to be extremely useful while traveling
overseas.
Infiniti Q45: 2002’s “Car
of the Year”
(August 2002)-- 2002 marks the year of the Infiniti
Q45. According to the team of sophisticated technical
assessors at the Pan Arab motoring magazine “Saudi
Auto”, Infiniti Q45 is the Car of the Year 2002.
The team has test-driven the luxurious car from Nissan
Motor Co. Ltd. for a period of over a month before giving
it this well-deserved and prestigious title, which concurs
with Infiniti’s heady path towards being a leader
in the luxury segment. After twelve years of launching
the Infiniti brand’s first generation of cars,
Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. gave us the 2002 Infiniti Q45-
Infiniti’s third generation- to reinforce the
brand’s strong position in its segment.
Mr. Carlos Ghosn, CEO and President at Nissan motor
Co. Ltd., commented by saying: “What the Infiniti
Q45 is doing to the auto-industry is pushing the luxury
envelope by offering superb design, performance and
attention to customers’ needs. The core message
behind the design of this vehicle was to evoke dynamic
thoughts at first glance, leave a strong impact on its
driver and give it an individual identity to set it
apart from its competitors in the segment”.
The team of assessors from “Saudi Auto”
evaluated the Infiniti Q45- before awarding it- by way
of totaling its scores that were remarkably spelt out
across several features such as Design, Performance,
Suspension System, Safety, and Advanced Luxury and Technology.
What struck the “Saudi Auto” team about
the vehicle’s design right from the start was
the large titanium-colored grille and prominent Infiniti
badge sets the tone for this exciting performance sedan
in addition to the other striking features of the new
Q45’s exterior, which were the large, multi-lens
projector high intensity discharge (HID) headlights.
Seven individual lenses and a free-surface reflector
design combine to provide a wide distribution beam pattern
utilizing a large luminous flux, creating the most powerful
headlight system in the world.
The all-new Infiniti Q45 gives a strong impression especially
in that which lies under the hood. As it was clear to
“Saudi Auto” during their evaluation of
the car’s performance, the Infiniti engineers’
primary objective was to greatly increase engine performance,
but with an ear for quietness. The result is a 365-horsepower
VK45DE 4.5-liter V8 with 47.8 kg-m of torque. This is
also more horsepower than most V8 competitors in its
class.
The new Infiniti Q45’s four-wheel independent
suspension has also been completely redesigned. The
vehicle’s rigid body and compliant suspension
system – independent strut front suspension with
stabilizer bar and completely new multi-link at the
rear – provide a supple ride and “smooth
and secure” handling feeling.
As for the safety features, the 2002 Infiniti Q45 showcases
myriad standard safety features, including driver’s
and passenger’s supplemental air bags with dual-stage
inflators that sense collision levels and react accordingly.
Front seat occupants also get supplemental side impact
air bags and front seat active head restraints, which
protect against excessive backward head movement and
reduce whiplash neck injuries suffered in low-speed
rear-end collisions. The newest Q45 safety feature is
supplemental side curtain air bags that deploy from
the roof for head protection. These cushions protect
both front and rear seat passengers.
The All New Q45’s interior features a hand-crafted
look. All interior surfaces are covered in rich textured
materials, including soft leather and genuine Bird’s
Eye Maple wood. For the driver, the Q45’s cockpit
features a hand-stitched leather and wood steering wheel
and large, round instruments with electro-illuminescent
illumination. Once the Q45 is turned on, the Vehicle
Information System (VIS) comes to life. This system,
with a 5.8-inch LCD screen, is mounted at the highest
position on instrument panel for better visibility and
greater operability. Other features of the Q45’s
interior include an instrument panel with fully integrated
switchgear, 10-way driver’s and 8-way front passenger’s
seat with memory and a dual-zone automatic temperature
control system. Infiniti’s signature in-dash analog
clock adds the final touch to the instrument panel.
collected the highest points as a contestant vehicle
in the luxury segment competition on which they commented:
“The all-new Infiniti Q45 is a truthful translation
of today’s modern and fast-paced lifestyle. This
vehicle is the ultimate answer to all lovers of the
luxury car segment.”.
Infiniti Q45 Test Drive Winner
Ever since the official launch of the all-new Infiniti
Q45 in the Middle East markets last April in the presence
of leading motoring journalists and Pan Arab media in
Dubai, Nissan Middle East has offered the public a dazzling
presentation of this vehicle along with true manifestations
of its values that stress the importance of a unique relationship
between the manufacturer and purchaser of the Infiniti.
Following the reveal, heavy coverage in print and televised
media, a bilingual website, and direct mailers to the
public and visitors of all Infiniti showrooms, Nissan
Middle East FZE invited all those interested in test driving
the Infiniti Q45 to participate in a very rewarding raffle
draw.
Nissan unveiled the name of the Infiniti Q45 test drive
winner at its headquarters in the Jebel Ali FZE in the
raffle draw carried out today. Mr. Shiguru Tsubaki, Managing
Director at Nissan Middle East FZE, announced the name
of the winner- Ms. Soad Saleh Mohammed Bohamra, from Kuwait-
who won a weekend trip at the Burj Al Arab and the chance
to have an Infiniti Q45 for that whole weekend for her
driving pleasure.
Following this extensive campaign- promoted via the Internet
and VIP Direct Mailers-that cordially invited the public
to test drive the Infiniti Q45, Nissan granted Infiniti
showroom guests the chance to win the weekend of a lifetime
for two at the luxurious Burj Al Arab, inclusive of two
business class tickets from any GCC country to Dubai and
return.
The campaign- an interactive campaign marketing tool engaging
old, new, and potential Nissan customers from across the
GCC countries- was yet another innovative approach in
affirming the Infiniti brand's values and luxurious identity
by way of tying up with the prestigious Burj Al Arab.
Infiniti believes that performance, luxury, inspiration
and grace go hand in hand. A belief expressed brilliantly
in the Infiniti models.
Infiniti's vision is to be a leader- to differentiate
itself from every competitor in the luxury segment. The
Infiniti vision begins with a total commitment to personalized
customer service and unparalleled satisfaction.
The core Infiniti values revolve around the following
points: anticipating each client's needs and responding
as true transportation consultants, using non-traditional
approaches to assure everything is delivered to the client's
expectations, engaging clients with full respect and an
ongoing emphasis on 'Best in Class' performance, and making
each client feel they are a part of a personalized and
exclusive establishment.
Together with its inception, came Infiniti's TOE- a philosophy
that fosters a unique relationship between retailers and
purchasers of new and previously owned Infiniti vehicles.
Infiniti's Total Ownership Experience is manifested through
retailer personnel training, sales certification programs
and advanced communications. It also includes tangible
features such as comprehensive roadside assistance and
service car loans for the new Infiniti.
Nothing short of breath-taking to reveal
the spectacular 2002 Infiniti Q45
Dubai - (April 3, 2001) - Nissan Middle East FZE (NMEF)
officially launched the all-new Infiniti Q45 in the
Middle East markets. Senior officials from Nissan Motor
Company Ltd. (NML) flew especially from Japan to attend
Nissan's impressive reveal of the Infiniti flagship
in the presence of leading motoring journalists and
Pan Arab media in Dubai.
The
attendees witnessed a dazzling show for the presentation
of the state-of-the-art Infiniti Q45 at the Burj Al
Arab Hotel in Dubai. All the invitees along with the
Nissan officials enjoyed an exquisite dinner at Burj
Al Arab's top-floor ballroom during which Mr. Shiguru
Tsubaki (Managing Director of NMEF) gave a welcome speech
and briefly touched base on the new features of the
luxurious and technologically advanced Infiniti Q45.
But
the spotlight was certainly on the Q45 and its new luxurious
and technically advanced features.
The
2002 Infiniti Q45 is a unique combination of exciting
performance, dramatic styling, luxurious interior and
innovative technology. It features a 365-horsepower
V8 engine, an LCD information display screen, and one
of the most powerful headlight systems in the world.
"The
new Q combines the personality of the original model,
while incorporating all the technological advancements
made over the 12 year period between the first and the
third generation," said Mr. Tsubaki. "It is
designed to set a new standard in the highly competitive
premium luxury class and brings the passion of Infiniti
to life for a whole new generation of buyers".
"We have pursued the promise of the Infiniti brand
to combine luxury and performance in new, unique and
inspiring ways. The new Q is a powerful expression of
the very best we have. A performance luxury sedan designed
to set a new standard for Infiniti and the world."
Perhaps
the most striking features of the new Q45's exterior
is the large, multi-lens projector High Intensity Discharge
(HID) headlights. Seven individual lenses and a free-surface
reflector design combine to provide a wide distribution
beam pattern utilizing a large luminous flux, creating
the most powerful headlight system in the world. Additionally,
the beam area is wide enough that additional fog lights
are not necessary.
Performance
Intensified while the styling of the 2002 Q45 gives
a strong impression, it's what is under the hood that
is most impressive. The Infiniti engineers' primary
objective was to greatly increase engine performance,
but with an ear for quietness. The result is a 365-horsepower
VK45DE 4.5-liter V8 with 47.8 kg-m of torque.
The exceptional power of the 4.5-liter V8 is channeled
through an all-new high-torque capacity electronically
controlled 5-speed automatic with a manual shift mode
that provides better acceleration and fuel mileage.
The
new Q45's four-wheel independent suspension has also
been completely redesigned. The new Q45's rigid body
and compliant suspension system - independent strut
front suspension with stabilizer bar and completely
new multi-link at the rear - provide a supple ride and
"smooth and secure" handling feeling.
4-wheel
vented discs with anti-lock function provide a braking
system, which contains two advanced features for increased
braking effectiveness and controllability.
The
fully redesigned Q45 interior features a hand-crafted
look. All interior surfaces are covered in rich textured
material, including soft leather and genuine Bird's
Eye Maple wood. The interior was designed to seat five
passengers in comfort. To start the Q, an electronic
key system is used. This key is easier to carry and
provides improved security with an ID transponder that
is virtually impossible to copy.
Once
the Q is turned on, the vehicle Information System (VIS)
comes to life. This system, with a 5.8-inch LCD screen,
is mounted at the highest position on the instrument
panel for better visibility and greater operability.
The
Q45's 300-watt premium Bose sound system will continue
to set the bar for factory-installed audio systems.
Revised insulation assists in enhancing the audio system's
quality as well as aiding general quietness in the new
Q.
Other
features of the Q45's interior include an instrument
panel with fully integrated switchgear, 10-way driver's
and 8-way front passenger's seat with memory and a dual-zone
automatic temperature control system. Infiniti's signature
in-dash analog clock adds the final touch to the instrument
panel.
Rear
seat passengers are just as coddled in the Q45 as the
front occupants with available power rear seats with
adjustable backrest angle and an oversize center armrest
with rear audio and climate controls create a limousine-like
environment for the rear passengers.
The
2002 Q45 features myriad standard safety features, including
dual front supplemental air bags with dual-stage inflators
that sense collision levels and react accordingly. Front
seat occupants also get supplemental side impact air
bags and front seat active head restraints, which protect
against excessive backward head movement and reduce
whiplash neck injuries suffered in low-speed rear-end
collisions.
The
newest Q45 safety feature is side curtain supplemental
air bags that deploy from the roof for head protection.
These cushions protect both front and rear seat passengers.
Also standard is the LATCH rigid bar child seat anchorage
system (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children). All
Q45's are equipped with the Infiniti Vehicle Immobilizer
System, and advanced anti-theft system.
"Twelve
years ago, we began with a vision for the future: combining
luxury, performance and uncompromising service to create
a superior automotive experience called Infiniti,"
said Mr. Tsubaki. "The 2002 Infiniti Q45 leads
the way into a new dimension of driving enjoyment and
advanced technology."
